Long Title:AN ACT TO AMEND TITLE 16 OF THE DELAWARE CODE RELATING TO EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES SYSTEMS.
Synopsis:This bill establishes the Emergency Medical Services for Children program within the Office of Emergency Medical Services, and places the committee chair on the Delaware Emergency Medical Services Oversight Council. This program addresses the pediatric specific needs of Delaware’s children in the Emergency Medical Services system. This program is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) required performance measure, so its establishment will help preserve federal funding for the Delaware Emergency Medical Services Oversight Council.
